About This Learning Program

3D Printing & Prototyping takes students from digital 3D models to real physical products. Students learn how additive manufacturing works and how a 3D printer transforms a digital design into a finished object layer by layer. The course introduces slicing software, printer components, materials, print settings, bed preparation, supports, and basic print optimization. Students also learn how to identify common printing problems and improve their designs and settings to achieve better results.
